Sturppy Alternatives (2026): Is Sturppy Still Active, What It Costs, and What to Use Instead

Sturppy is still online and still selling. On October 22, 2026 its site, signup and app all loaded, and Sturppy Planning was priced at $147 one-time for the Founder plan, $899 one-time for a model built by its team, and $199 a month for agencies. But the signs of an actively developed product are thin: the footer reads "Copyright © 2023", the blog posts carry no dates, and the "for the next 30 days" lifetime-deal banner has read word for word the same since at least May 2024. We found no shutdown notice, so we do not call it dead. If you already own a lifetime license and it does what you need, keep using it. If you are choosing a tool today, the alternatives below cost between $0 and about $5,000 a year.

What we saw on Sturppy's site (October 22, 2026)

  • The site and app are up. sturppy.com, the Sturppy Planning app (app.sturppy.com) and the Sturppy Plus signup page (plus.sturppy.com/signup) all returned normal pages.
  • Prices are published, on a different page than you would expect. sturppy.com/pricing redirects to the home page; the plans are on sturppy.com/sturppy-planning.
  • The footer still says 2023. Every page we opened ends with "Copyright © 2023, Sturppy, All rights reserved."
  • The offer has not moved. The banner says "For the next 30 days we're offering a $147 Lifetime Deal." Internet Archive captures of the same page from May 2024, February 2025 and July 2026 show the identical sentence and price.
  • The blog is undated. The ten posts on sturppy.com/resources show no dates. The newest topics are "How we implemented GPT4 in our product" and "New product alert: Introducing Sturppy Plus".
  • Review sites. G2 and Capterra blocked our requests (HTTP 403) on October 22, so we could not read their current review counts or dates. Our earlier research in October 2026 recorded G2 describing the profile as inactive for over a year; we could not re-confirm that today.
  • Third-party price listings are stale. TrustRadius still lists monthly plans at $10, $25 and $50, and Capterra shows "from $15 per month" with a free trial. Sturppy's own page offers neither: it sells one-time licenses and states there are "no free trials for any of our plans on Sturppy Planning".

None of this means Sturppy will stop working. It does mean you should weigh how actively the product is maintained before you build your fundraising model on it.

Sturppy sells two products. Sturppy Planning is the template-driven modeling tool for early-stage founders; its models are "NOT connected to live data sources" and you cannot upload an Excel model. Sturppy Plus connects to live data and adds "CFO Chat", which Sturppy calls a GPT-4 powered virtual CFO; it is aimed at businesses with "at least $10K/mo in revenue" or "a minimum of $250K in funding", and its price is not published (the page offers a free 30-day trial and a demo). Sturppy Planning comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Why founders look for a Sturppy alternative

  • Maintenance risk. A model you show investors needs a tool you expect to be there next year. The 2023 footer and the frozen offer make some founders cautious.
  • No live data in Planning. Once you have revenue, re-typing actuals into an unconnected model gets old fast.
  • You need SaaS metrics, not a general template. Sturppy covers many business types (SaaS, eCommerce, marketplace, mobile app, physical store, hotel). A SaaS founder usually wants MRR, churn, CAC payback and runway as built-in outputs.
  • You want to try before paying. Planning has no free trial, only a refund window.

Sturppy alternatives at the same budget

Adlega (our product)

A SaaS-specific model: you set drivers such as new customers, churn, price, hires and costs, and get a 36-month forecast of MRR, burn, cash and runway, with an AI CFO that explains how each number was calculated. There is a free plan (one model) and a Founder plan at $49 a month or $490 a year. It is a subscription, so over several years it costs more than Sturppy's one-time $147. Integrations, forecast vs actuals and collaborators are listed on our pricing as "rolling out", not live, so today you enter numbers by hand, much as you would in Sturppy Planning. See also Forecastr vs Adlega.

ProjectionHub

The closest match to Sturppy's template approach. Individual projection templates are free (5 years of projections), ProjectionHub+ is $499 one-time for all 100+ templates, and its team builds a full set of projections for $750. It leans toward small businesses and SBA loan applications rather than venture-backed SaaS. Detail on our ProjectionHub pricing page.

LivePlan

Business-plan software with a built-in forecast (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow), up to 10 what-if scenarios, budget vs actual dashboards and QuickBooks Online and Xero connections. Standard is $20 a month, or $15 a month paid yearly; Premium is $40, or $30 a month paid yearly. A LivePlan Expert add-on is $30 a month. There is a 35-day money-back guarantee rather than a free trial. It suits founders who need a written business plan as much as a model; it is a general small-business tool, not built around SaaS metrics.

Forecastr

The option if you liked Sturppy's $899 "we build it for you" plan and want that service ongoing. Every Forecastr plan includes a dedicated financial analyst; Essentials is $5,000 a year and includes a built-in AI chatbot, Growth is $10,000 a year. Billed annually. See Forecastr vs Adlega.

If you were looking at Sturppy Plus: an AI CFO on live data

Sturppy Plus does not publish a price. Two tools in the same "AI CFO on your live data" category do. Nume has a free plan with $150 of credit and Pro plans from $50 a month (credit-based), for businesses of 1 to 100 people (nume.ai/pricing, read October 22, 2026). cfo.ai (formerly Runway) starts at $375 a month billed yearly; see cfo.ai pricing. Our best AI CFO tools roundup compares the whole group.

A spreadsheet

Before revenue, a spreadsheet is still a fair answer and costs nothing. Our free SaaS finance templates pair each spreadsheet with a live calculator, and the SaaS financial model template covers the full three-statement build. Check the cash math with the runway calculator.

How to decide

  • Keep Sturppy if you already paid for a lifetime license, the model works, and you do not need live data. Export a CSV copy now so you are not locked in.
  • Pick a template (ProjectionHub or a spreadsheet) if you need projections once, for an accelerator application or a loan.
  • Pick LivePlan if the deliverable is a written business plan with a forecast attached.
  • Pick a SaaS model such as Adlega if you run a subscription business and want MRR, churn, burn and runway to update as you change drivers.
  • Pick a service (Forecastr, or Sturppy's own Premium) if you want someone else to build it.

Moving a model off Sturppy

  1. Export it. Sturppy Planning exports the statements, or the whole model, to a formatted CSV file.
  2. List the drivers, not the cells. Starting revenue, acquisition channels, conversion rates, price, churn, hiring plan and fixed costs are what you will re-enter. The SaaS financial model guide walks through them.
  3. Reconcile. Before you trust the new model, check that revenue, burn and cash match the old one for the same month.

FAQ

Is Sturppy still in business?

Its website, signup and app were working on October 22, 2026, and it still sells plans. We found no shutdown notice. The site footer still reads 2023 and the blog is undated, so the pace of development is unclear.

How much does Sturppy cost?

Sturppy Planning Founder is $147 one-time (extra models $45 each), Premium is $899 one-time with the model built by Sturppy's team, and Agency is $199 a month. Sturppy Plus does not publish a price.

Does Sturppy have a free trial?

Not for Sturppy Planning: its page says there are no free trials and offers a 30-day money-back guarantee instead. Sturppy Plus advertises a free 30-day trial.

Why do review sites show different Sturppy prices?

Listings on TrustRadius ($10 to $50 a month) and Capterra (from $15 a month) reflect older monthly plans. Sturppy's own page now sells one-time licenses.

What is a free alternative to Sturppy?

A spreadsheet template, a free ProjectionHub template, or Adlega's free plan (one SaaS model with the AI CFO). All three let you start without paying.

Is Sturppy good for SaaS startups?

It has a SaaS template and live SaaS example model, but it is built to cover many business types. If you only model a subscription business, a SaaS-specific tool gives you MRR, churn and CAC payback without setting them up yourself.

Where Adlega is weaker

Adlega is self-serve: you build the model yourself. The AI CFO guides you and explains every number, but no analyst builds it for you, so a founder who wants the work done by a person may prefer a done-for-you service. Its integrations (Stripe, Chargebee, Google Analytics, Google Ads), forecast-vs-actuals and scenario comparison are still rolling out on the Growth plan, so today most numbers come from the drivers you enter rather than synced data. And it is built around SaaS metrics, so a business without recurring revenue will get less from it than from a general-purpose planning tool.
