Building your model with the AI CFO

Updated July 18, 2026

The fastest way to build a model in Adlega is to let the AI CFO draft it, then correct what’s wrong. Here is how the conversation works.

Describe your business first

Give the AI a short description of your business — what you sell, roughly how you price, and how you acquire customers. From that one description it fills most of the model with benchmark-based assumptions. If you are not sure where to start, pick a starter template (for example B2B SaaS or a consumer subscription app) to seed the first turn.

The three acts

The AI guides you through the model in three parts. You can jump around, and it steers you back:

  1. Money — how you earn: your tiers, prices, retention and starting customer base.
  2. Customers — how you grow: traffic sources, trial conversion, marketing spend and growth rate.
  3. Costs — what you spend: your team, hosting and tools, cash in the bank, and any debt or funding.

How it asks

The AI keeps the conversation light: a couple of questions at a time, each with interactive controls — choice buttons, sliders and number inputs — and a suggested answer you can accept with a tap. You rarely have to type a full sentence.

See and correct its assumptions

For every value it sets, the AI shows you what it assumed, why, and how confident it is (whether you stated it, or it inferred it). To change anything, just tell it — “our churn is lower than that” or “we charge $99, not $49” — and it updates the assumption and recalculates.

You are always in control. The AI produces a starting draft; the model is yours to correct. Nothing it sets is locked.

Prefer to enter everything by hand? You can skip the AI entirely and use the assumptions sections directly.
